MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

So, we have been in Tampa (well, actually in Lutz) this week, celebrating the Christmas holidays with our families.  This year was less hectic than last year.  We have been able to relax a lot this time around.  Very nice.

We have enjoyed spending time with our families and friends.  But, alas, we must return to our lives in Gainesville.  We hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a safe and happy New Year.

It's been a while...

So, obsviously we let life get in the way of sharing our life with others.  Hence the lack of recent posts.  It has been a while, so I wanted to fill people in.  I am finishing my fall semester at UF.  Only one more to go and I will have my BA.  WHOO HOOO!  No more school!!!

Sherry had an intern the past 9 weeks that certainly tested her resolve.  If you want the details you will have to call her and ask.  It is too complicated for me to spell out here.

I have started my hiring process with HCSO, so the wheels are in motion for us to move back to Tampa.  We started looking at houses and all the fun that goes with that.

Now it is time for the Christmas holidays.  Thanksgiving was a nice break from everything.  I have been busy with work and school and it was a much needed (although short) vacation.  After you arrest 150+ people for DUI and go to court for all the cases, one needs a little break.  We are taking another short vacation for Christmas, so looking forward to that.

For those that we won't see during the holidays, 'Merry Christmas' and 'Happy New Year'.  Please be safe and have fun.  I promise we will start posting more often after the new year (was that a New Year resolution?  hmmm...)

Same old stuff . . .

Not much to post lately. I finished with the Spring semester (with two B's) at UF. Now on to Summer classes. FUN!! :) Then on to Fall, and ... well, you get the picture. Hopefully, I will be done by December, but my suspicions are that I will finish in May '09. Oh well.

We just got back from Tampa this past weekend for Mother's day and little Emmy's birthday. She is so cute. The baby bug has struck Sherry again. Again we will discuss when we can have a little one. Soon we hope, but time will tell. I would post pictures from this past weekend, but alas, I can't find our camera in this mess we call our apartment. Pictures to come when I locate it.

Major blow to small business!

In their infinite wisdom (surely I jest, LOL), the Gainesville City Commission has seen fit to pass an ordinance that requires ALL local businesses to allow for "cross-dressers" and those confused by their DNA and physical anatomy to use which ever restroom they "feel" like using. Basically the ordinance says that if I were to "feel" like a female today, then I can use the women's bathroom, unless of course there is a "uni-sex" bathroom available. That's right folks, if the company wants to remodel and provide a "Trans-Gender" bathroom facility (to include changing tables and all those things found in "family" style bathrooms), then they can stop men from entering the women's bathroom and vice versa. Otherwise they risk the ACLU and similar civil rights groups (??civil rights?? really?) putting them out of business through lawsuits.

Can we all seen the problems with this? How about the pedophiles and sexual predators deciding they "feel" like being female today. Anybody see where this is going?

Isn't it great the world we live in (or is it just my little world in Gainesville, FL)??
